How do you find time to do Makeup every morning? - A question that I have been asked time and again by women around me. Unless you are striving for a runway look every day, you really don’t need hours to doll up. Being aware of your features that you would like to play up and the imperfections that you would want to conceal is key. So even if you are a workhorse or a young working mom struggling for some me-time, you could just do with about 5 minutes to get an effortless yet gorgeous look.

With a few Makeup essentials that I count on when I’m short of time, here is a look that I created in just about 5 minutes.

Blame the long days and erratic hours; I have a constant struggle with dark circles. When I do not have the luxury of time to use a corrector and concealer, my fix is a Tinted Eye Brightener.  It instantly brightens under eye circles and this step alone can do a lot in terms of lifting your face up. I have found my perfect shade in Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener in Dark Peach. The best part about this product is that it comes with a doe applicator, which makes it really easy to apply. Apply a small amount to the under eye area and dab with fingers or a beauty blender to blend.

Unless I need high coverage which I usually do for long days or special occasions, I prefer a Tinted Moisturizer for daily use. Created for hydration and subtly evening out your complexion, a Tinted Moisturizer provides sheer coverage that creates a very natural base. I use NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in Cuzco. Use Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush to help you create a flawless look.

For my cheeks, I usually alternate between a Cream Blush and Bronzer.  For this look, I have applied Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Bronze along my cheekbones for a bronzy glow.

Hands down Lipstick is my go-to Makeup essential when I am in a hurry. While I go easy on the eye make up, I pick a bright shade for the lips. For this look, I used Cassis, one of my favorite Art Sticks from Bobbi Brown. It is a rich Cranberry shade and has a creamy matte finish. While opting for nude eyes, go for a bright shade like this that can perk up your face. Pink, Coral, Orange are great choices too.

I take longest to do up my eyes. But if there is one product that I can apply in a jiffy, which also has the power to make a huge difference to my eyes it is my wonder worker, Mascara. I count on lots and lots of Mascara to wake up my eyes. Lancome makes some of the best Mascara that I have ever used. I use Hypnose Drama from Lancome which is waterproof and ultra volume boosting.

A cardinal beauty trick for me these days is grooming my brows. I use Bobby Brown Brow Pencil in Mahogany to fill in the gaps and define high points.

And here is the complete look. This used to be my go-to look while I was working. Trust me, with a bit of practice and with the right products  you will be able to achieve such a look in less than 5.

Also, it is very important to adapt the look to suit your preferences and play up your striking features. If you are the kind who prefers doing up your eyes, you can do a basic smokey eye with dark eye shadow and a smudgy kohl pencil and pair it with nude lips. So create a look that suits you and give yourself that 5 minutes. When you make a few heads turn, you will know it's well worth it :-).
